The Italian media conglomerate, Medaset Group, has sued YouTube for 500 million euros, claiming that the site has unlawfully offered thousands of video clips that belong to Mediatet. The complaint, sent to the civil court in Rome, appoints both YouTube and Google. Mediaset operates television stations in Italy and Spain, and produces films and television programs. Its deputy director, Pier Silvio Berlusconi, is the son the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
